Employment law and the Equality Act seminar
The University of Leicester is hosting this half-day seminar on 10 June. The seminar will provide an overview of key features of the Equality Act 2010, including equal pay and positive action, and will give a critical overview of its implications for the pursuit of equality in the workplace. The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is hosting an exhibition and event to launch its new publication, Future homes: Building better lifestyles for an ageing population, produced in collaboration with the Building Research Establishment (BRE), in central London on 30 June. RADAR’s MP Disability dialogue
In May and June, the Royal Association for Disability Rights (RADAR) is holding a Disability dialogue, during which it is encouraging disabled people to meet with their MPs and find out how their MP can help them. RADAR hopes that this will result in ongoing relationships between MPs and disabled people, and help disabled people campaign for change. RADAR will provide anybody wishing to take part with information and has a limited budget to help with access costs.

Naidex National, the large-scale care, disability and rehabilitation exhibition, will take place in Birmingham from 5-7 April 2011. The exhibition will include several new features, including a wellbeing walk with alternative therapies and nutritional advice, a home exercise and rehabilitation zone, and an innovation zone showcasing new products.
