Inclusive Fitness Week

Inclusive Fitness Week, which is run by the Inclusive Fitness Initiative, aims to raise awareness about inclusive fitness provision and get more disabled people participating in local physical activity opportunities. Between 3 May and 9 May 2010, free events will be held at facilities throughout the UK, with the aim of providing local communities with the opportunity to try new activities and sports in a safe, inclusive environment.

KIDS PIP: Regional Network Seminars

The KIDS charity for disabled children is holding a series of regional seminars, in partnership with regional organisations working in play and childcare, as part of its Playwork Inclusion Project (PIP). The theme for these seminars is ‘Myth Busting’, and the seminars aim to reinforce good basic inclusive playwork practice.

London Calling: Making your case count at the Public Examination

Planning Aid for London, in partnership with the Town and Country Planning Association and the JustSpace network, is holding this one-day conference for voluntary groups, which demonstrates how to access the London Plan Examination in Public, the forum at which groups can voice their opinions on the draft London Plan. The session will finish with a mock Examination in Public to familiarise groups with the procedure.
