Action for Access PDF Print E-mail

The Action for Access campaign is run by Leonard Cheshire Disability, and involves people surveying their local services to create a catalogue of access surveys in the UK.  Details about the campaign can be found below:

‘Action for Access is the campaign for an accessible UK. Whether you're a disabled person, a shopkeeper or service provider, an elected representative, or an interested individual, we can all take Action for Access. This national campaign aims to get campaigners and services working together to make equal access a reality for everyone.

The Action for Access website has surveys which you can download. You can use these in your local area to survey:

  • shops
  • pubs
  • businesses
  • sports venues
  • public transport
  • any other services

Once the survey has been completed you can share the results by adding them to the website: www.actionforaccess.org
Or you can send them to the freepost address:

Or you can call us on our designated phone line: 020 3242 0410

The results of the survey will help us to build up evidence of how accessible the UK really is.

In addition to gathering information through the surveys we provide resources to take the next step and engage campaigners and businesses to work together to improve access for everyone.
