Notes: Hereford Access for All addresses access issues within the boundaries of Hereford City only. Historically we have tried to deal with access issues relating to the built environment, sometimes by request from Herefordshire Council, also via members of the public and often as a result of a Committee member spotting a problem. We also take up issues relating to disabled parking. Each year we try to take on a special project. In 2011 we produced a Guide for Disabled People to Bank and Building Society Premises and Services in Hereford City and last year we produced a similar guide with reference to GP Practices, Dentists, Opticians and Hearing Services. In earlier years Hereford Access for All has produced access guides with reference to restaurants in Hereford City as well as other tourist attractions. Within the past 2-3 years we have also been campaigning for improved disabled access to play facilities (particularly with reference to the 'Playbuilder Programme'), we have supported the Mencap Changing Places campaign and the Scope Polls apart campaign and have been challenging Herefordshire Council with regard to the right to full inclusion for disabled people to Fairground rides and other attractions with regard to the historic annual 'May Fair' and all similar events.
